This collection contains 35 handwritten palm-leaf documents addressing ritual tax (canjcaaram), loans, land leases and receipts and 22 paper documents (1937-1944) containing tax collection, petitions, letters, notice, invitation etc. Documents belonging to this collection are a continuation of the EAP 314 project (collection 8).

At the series level when "manuscript" is mentioned it refers to palm-leaves, " documents" to paper.The digital folder name and digital file name reflect this, i.e. palm-leaves are" PL", notebooks are" NB" and copperplates "CP".
The documents were not given any order by the document holder except for a separation according to format (palm-leaves, papers, notebooks and books) which we have followed.

- EAP458 was funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. The aim of this project is to create an archive of documents relating to Tamil agrarian history of socio-historical relevance to researchers.
