This collection consists of 1 printed book (1937) on the history of the mutt and 13 handwritten notebooks (1928-1979) containing details of ritual tax (canjaram) collected over a period of time by the mut from the community/villages under their spiritual jurisdiction for performing pooja in the temple and for community related rituals by the gurus.

At the series level when "manuscript" is mentioned it refers to palm-leaves, " documents" to paper.The digital folder name and digital file name reflect this, i.e. palm-leaves are" PL", notebooks are" NB" and copperplates "CP".
The documents were not given any order by the document holder except for a separation according to format (book and notebooks) which we have followed.

- EAP458 was funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. The aim of this project is to create an archive of documents relating to Tamil agrarian history of socio-historical relevance to researchers.
