This collection consist of 1055 hand written and printed paper documents (1806-1963) covering land deeds such as land sale, land lease, land loan, land details, land tax, land donation and partition etc., court documents such as petitions, summons, depositions, judgements etc., loan documents, notices, accounts, receipts, alimony, will documents and panchayat related documents etc. by muttukaruppakavuNTar and others of pungkangkuLam village; 78 hand written and printed notebooks (1875 - 1952): accounts/ledger of cash transactions and revenue/tax collection for water distribution and irrigation, land documents such as copy of land sale deeds, land details and land tax receipts; registers; police beat, school notebooks, letter and palmistry of muttukaruppakavuNTar, karuppakavunTar, teevaNakavunTar and others of punkangkuLam village; 57 handwritten palm-leaf documents(1883-1906): receipts for the tax paid for vinaayakar temple lands of pungkangkulam village and land lease document of cunta teevanh and viirapattira kavuNTanh of pungkangkuLam village.

The documents were not given any order by the document holder except for a separation according to format (notebook, palm-leaf and paper) which we have followed.
