This collection contains 1 copper plate of ritual tax payment to the temple; 37 paper documents dealing with tax collection details, letters, village panchayat, accounts, land lease etc., and 14 hand written notebooks of ritual tax collection (canjcaaram) by civa cuppiramaNiya paNTita kurukkaL from the clan members of naaTaar caste of different villages and accounts.

At the series level when "manuscript" is mentioned it refers to palm-leaves, " documents" to paper.The digital folder name and digital file name reflect this, i.e. palm-leaves are" PL", notebooks are" NB" and copperplates "CP".
The documents were not given any order by the document holder except for a separation according to format (copper plate, notebook and paper) which we have followed.
