This collection (1862-1966) consists of 132 hand written and printed documents which include court related documents (petitions, summons, appeal, defendant statements, witness statements and judgements) of a land dispute case; personal dispute cases by azakiya ciRRmpala kururkkaL, citampars kurukkaL, artanhaaari ayyar, raamanaataceTTiyaar and others on various issues; notices sent to citamparakurukkaL and the villagers of kallangkuLam informing of the auctioning of land; issues of land patta (land ownership document) by the deputy collector and others; land related documents such land lease, land loan, land sale, land tax, partition and auction of land by citampara kurukkaL and others of kallangkuLam and surrounding villages; loan deeds by azakiya ciRRampalakurukkaL, vengkiTacaamikavunTanh, cilampakavuNTanh, kalyaaNacuntara kurukkal, cuppiramaNiya kurukkaL and others of kallangkuLam; agreements for performing prayers in the angkaaLammanh, maariyammanh temple; ritual tax collection from individuals by kallangkuLam mutt in the surrounding villages of kallangkuLam; personal and official letters sent by kalyaaNakurukkaL, nagarajan, cataacivam, raamacaamikavuNtar and others of kallangkuLam and nearby villages; accounts and receipts issued for various purposes like acknowledgement receipt, borrowing and payment of money, purchase receipts, school fees payment etc.; and 7 notebooks of ritual tax collection (canjcaaram/kuTivar varavu) details by azakiya ciRRampala kurukkaL of kallangkuLam and other surrounding villages; a Sanskrit-Tamil dictionary; prayers in grantha script; information on yantra (yantiram) in grantha script; one palmleaf document of ritual tax collection by the kallangkuLam madam.

At the series level when "manuscript" is mentioned it refers to palm-leaves, " documents" to paper.The digital folder name and digital file name reflect this, i.e. palm-leaves are" PL", notebooks are" NB" and copperplates "CP".
The documents were not given any order by the document holder except for a separation according to format (notebook, palm-leaf and paper) which we have followed.
