- User Conditions:
- Custodial History:
- Documents have been migrated to the modern Court House building from a variety of sources, all since 1990: (1) records generated by cases heard in the present court; (2) records from earlier courts; (3) records by government ministries and departments; (4) records rescued from destruction, primarily by members of Anguilla's historical society. The earlier custodial history of these documents is not known.
- Source of Acquisition:
- Received from Mr Jan Liebaers, August 2008 (EAP596/1).
- Arrangement:
- The current system of arrangement has been put in place during this EAP project. The historic documents in the Archive Room (as opposed to those relating to the present court) have been crudely separated into subject categories (i.e. by series). There was no previous system of arrangement.
- Administrative Context:
- EAP596 was funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. It created digital copies of records held by the Anguilla Archaeological Society.
