- Family photograph albums containing pictures of several generations of the Mendez Lopez family and some of their documents dating from the late 1960s.It includes pictures of their house built in the 1980s, of the streets of Tenejapa and the countryside from the 1970s to 1980s and into the early 1990s, photos of religious events, of politico-religious celebrations and of sporting events where the modern meets with the pre-modern.

- The digital images in this collection were created as part of the EAP593 Lekil Kuxlejal: archiving Tenejapa's indigenous heritage project. At this time the original photos were kept in the wardrobe of Lucia Lopez Giron in the house of the Méndez López'.

- Arrangement:
- The loose photos are arranged in the order in which they were taken (except DSC063730). The rest of the photos are ordered according to the albums in which they are to be found (carried out by myself (SER).
- Administrative Context:
- EAP593 was funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. It created digital copies of records held by the Méndez López family, the Bautista Diaz and the Nabolom Museum.
