Scope & Content:: The library estblished in 1876 is custodian of one of most endangered collections. Though we managed to retrieve only 88 titles out of about 700 titles for some administrative problem with the managing committee of the library, so the digitisation in this collection is incomplete. However, we managed to copy entire collection of Sanjeet Chowdhury from the library.

Custodial History:: Mudiali Library was established in the year 1876. The library was initially located at Fatehpur with the initiative of people like Nagendra Nath Mitra, Rasik Pal, Harischandra Pal, and Sarat Chandra Bandyopadhyay. It shifted to the present location in Mudialy in 1929 and today the collection strength of the library stands at around 30 thousand items. Among the unique collections of this library are some rare journals like ‘Shanibarer Chithi’, ‘Bangadarshan’, and ‘Prabasi’.

Administrative Context:: EAP341 was funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. The project is a digitisation programme of all available rare books from the earliest time untill the 1950s, and in Bengali language, housed in selected libraries.
