Hikayat Raja Dewa Maharupa

Hikayat Raja Dewa Maharupa, in Malay in Jawi script, also called at the end Hikayat Maharaja Mahadewa. Copying commenced on 14 Zulkaidah 1216 (18 March 1802) and the book was completed on 22 Zulkaidah (26 March).
Concerning the adventures of Dewa Maharupa, the son and eventually the successor of Derma Dewa, king of Naripetma. Elongated al-kisah with double-knotted ta marbuta mark new sections of the text.
Colophon on f.47v: Tamatlah sudah hikayat Maharaja Mahadewa dimula pada sanat 1216 tahun2 jim pada empat belas hari bulan Zulkaidah disudahkan pada dua likur hari bulan Zulkaidah pada zaman Kurnadur Kapiddan Kunu [k.w.n.w] jadi raja di bandar Pulau Pinang.
The identity of 'Kurnadur Kapiddan Kunu' is not clear; Sir George Leith was Lt.-Gov. of Penang from 1800-1803, but a more likely identification of 'Kunu' may be George Caunter, Acting Superintendent from 1799-1800.
Note on f.50r: Pada sanat 1217 tahun2 zai pada sehari bulan Setember 1082 [sic, i.e. 1802] dua tahun2 maka rial buka
On one of the final blank pages are various sums in 'European' Arabic numerals.
