Issued by the Prokaz kamennykh del (the nearest English equivalent would be the Department of Building Works) on the orders of joint tsars Ivan V and Peter the Great. The charter is in response to a petition from a number of master bricklayers for the restitution of rights and privileges which had lapsed over the years. Written in a single hand, except for the last three words, being the secretary's name and status.

- Ink on Silesian paper, watermark the Arms of the Gozdawa family. 8 skleyki (membranes), each approx. 16.5 x 38.5 cm.
- Custodial History:
- Given to R. F. Christian by Andrew Haggard, nephew of Rider Haggard. The Haggard family of the 18th and 19th centuries were London merchants with interests in Russia and with associations to Meybohm and Company of Moscow. Andrew Haggard's great-grandfather married a Meybohm and the manuscirpt thus came into the Haggard family.
