Four hand-coloured prints in cabinet card format, with the photographer's name and insignia are printed on the front of each card. There are two versions of the same caption on the back of each print. The first is written on the mount itself, the second on a loose piece of paper. Included with the prints is a typed slip which reads: 'These photos were bound in a scrap album numbered ALR 1A together with 50 mica paintings which have now been seperately mounted and numbered Add Or 606–655. The mica paintings appear to be c.1860'.
