Collection of loose prints mounted on light card blind-embossed with Tripe's monogram. Letterpress captions in a cursive script are pasted onto each mount. These ten prints are part of a series of approximately 26 prints of objects shown at the Madras Exhibition of 1857 prepared by Tripe for the Government of the Madras Presidency. A further eight prints (of Indian weapons) from the series can be found at Photo 1000 (5331-5338). 70 sets of these photographs were prepared. A further
