Loose prints on card mounts. The collection consists of a series of photographic copies of oil paintings by Lambert and Scott made in 1731 of East India Company settlements at Bombay, Calcutta, Madras, Tellichery, Cape of Good Hope and St Helena. The prints show some fading and yellowing and are not suitable for reproduction as copies. The original paintings remain in the India Office Library collection (see Mildred Archer, The India Office Collection of Paintings and Sculpture (The British Library, London, 1986)).
