25 large-format albumen prints from calotype negatives. The collection is accompanied by a handwritten list of captions as well as a typed account (by J. A. B. Palmer) of six of the views and some reflections on the possible source of the prints (in which the Tytlers are unidentified). The photographs depict views taken in 1858 by Major Robert Christopher Tytler and his wife, Harriet, at Delhi, Lucknow and Cawnpore in the immediate post-Mutiny period.
