Scope & Content:

Green cloth-bound album measuring 317x440mm, with coat of arms of the Raja of Chumba stamped in gold on front cover. The following dedication, written on Chumba State headed notepaper is pasted at the front of the album: 'To The Honourable Mr Alexander Anderson C.I.E. with kindest regards from His Highness Raja Bhuri Singh of Chumba'. Photographs are captioned in a neat hand beneath each print.

The album documents the installation of the Raja of Chumba by Sir Charles Rivaz, Lieutenant-Governor of the Punjab, on 12 May 1904, and includes views of the formal ceremony, groups of guests and views of buildings in Chumba and Dalhousie.
