Quin Collection: Miscellaneous photographs mostly in Kathiawar. Photographer(s): Quin, Henry Osborne

Collection of prints made from nitrate negatives that were subsequently destroyed in September 1981. Copy negatives were made and these are stored with the prints. Part of the original negative list and a later typed handlist accompany the collection. Although the quality of the photographs is good the lists are inadequate for identification purposes, however the collection includes views in the following locations: Goa (?), Delhi, Ajmer, Junagadh, Porbandar, Morvi, Jafarabad, Bhavnagar, Mangral, Diu and Delvada. The subject coverage is varied including architectural, topographical and social life scenes. Material collected by Henry Osborne Quin, Indian Civil Service (Bombay) from 1885 and Political Agent in Kathiawar in the early 1900s.
