Loose prints with photographer's wet stamp on reverse. The five prints show two poses, prints 1-3 and 4-5 being the same. The prints were purchased at an unknown date and appear to be modern prints from portraits probably made in the 1920s.
Sir William Foster (1863-1951) was Registrar and Superintendent of Records at the India Office, 1907-23 and Historiographer to the India Office 1923-27.
