Second part of a illustrated manuscript depicting a poetry contest on forty-two paired themes said to have taken place during the reign of Emperor Heizei (r.806-809). This scroll contains the final 10 pairs of poems. A further scroll (Or 902) contains the first part of the manuscript.
The cover of this scroll has a title slip with the title 'Waka emakimono 和歌絵巻物' but the text is that of 'Shijūni no monoarasoi 四十二の物あらそひ'.
The manuscript is undated but is probably from the mid Edo Period (c.1680-1780)
