Collection of copy prints exhibited at IOLR in 1976, some of which were later exhibited at Aston University, Birmingham, on Pakistan Day, 1986 (see accompanying list and correspondence). The photographs were obtained from various sources including picture agencies, the Pakistan High Commission (London) and from printed books and original photographs in the India Office Library and Records. The photographs record the political career of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and include portraits of him and his family, Gandhi, Nehru, the Muslim League, Mountbatten, Pethick-Lawrence and other notables. The collection also includes some copy negatives of photographs and of documents displayed in the Exhibition. A collection of photographs of a reception for the Exhibition held in the IOLR Conference Room on 16 December 1976, is missing.
