Half-leather bound album with sides in blue cloth, measuring 305x250mm, with spine detached, boards loose and binding generally frail. The album includes both amateur and commercial work, with prints mounted on the page with handwritten captions beneath. Much of the amateur work dates from 1898 and records a walking and hunting expedition in the Kangra District. Among the several good and informal studies of European social life are a camp scene at Dera Gopipur (print 12), a meal in camp (print 21), two ladies painting (print 24) and two women crossing the Beas River on a mussock raft (prints 34-5). Many of the views are taken at Dera Gopipur and there are also prints of mountain scenery, portraits and general views. Towards the end of October 1898 the party was at Kangra and the album includes a series of views of the fort. Other material in the album includes photographs of hunting trophies, architectural views at Agra and Delhi, and views at the Marble Rocks on the Narmada near Jabalpur.

The album appears to have been compiled by a young women who appears in a number of the photographs, identified only by her initials 'T.R.R.P.'
