Scope & Content:

Brown full-leather album, 304x240mm, with decorative covers stamped with gold borders. A dedication on the front free endpaper reads: '25 June 1869. A Birthday present for the mater, from her wandering son, D[?]ing Rasbotham' and opposite this is a printed inscription on a piece of paper with the caption 'Which being interpreted means, Rasbotham Sahib Bahadoor'. D. Rasbotham worked for the Madras firm, Binny & Co. The photographs include architectural and ethnographical views in Madras and Bangalore.
