Scope & Content:: Green, full leather oblong folio album (binding distressed and boards detached) measuring 380 x 490 mm, decoration in gilt on both boards and title stamped in gilt on upper board, containing 41 large prints (each approximately 215 x 290 mm, mounted one to a page) and 59 stereo pairs (each measuring approximately 75 x 70 mm, mounted six to a page), with pencilled captions written beneath each image; marbled endpapers and edges gilt; bookbinder's label of John Lovell, St Nicholas Street, Montreal and bookplate of Chelsea Public Libraries, recording the album as a gift from 'Major W. F. Woods J.P., 1923,' laid down on front pastedown. The volume was withdrawn from the Chelsea Libraries stock and acquired by the British Library in 1981.
