Scope & Content:: Portfolio containing 15 albumen prints, on card mounts measuring 545 x 687 mm. The presentation of the photographs in this collection is uniform with Maps 184.p.1, the prints being mounted within a decorative border, with printed letterpress captions, and published by Friedrich Bruckmann of Munich. The photographs show the following locations of battles in the campaign between August and late September 1870: Weissenberg (Wissenbourg), Wörth (Woerth), Reichshoffen, Niederbronn (Niederbronn-les-Bains), Fort Lichtenberg (Ingwiller), Zabern (Saverne) and Strasbourg.
