Folio volume, half-leather binding with royal coat of arms stamped in gilt on upper board, measuring 377 283 mm, containing the six parts of Thompson's 'Studies from Nature,' issued between September 1875 and February 1876. Each part of this series sold for four shillings and sixpence and contained four carbon print landscape views, each mounted on card with an accompanying page of letterpress descriptive text. The wrappers for the individual numbers are bound in at the back of the volume.
