Quarto, measuring 330 x 260 mm, original blue cloth binding, with title and design of the Outram statue stamped in gilt on upper board; edges gilt; pp. 41, with three photographic illustrations mounted on light card. The text describes the history and commissioning of John Foley's equestrian statue of Sir James Outram (1803-1863), unveiled on the Calcutta Maidan at the junction of Chowringhee Road and Park Street on 23 May 1874. The statue has now been removed to the Victoria Memorial, Calcutta.Another copy of the work can be found in APAC, shelfmark W.2565.
