Quarto volume, measuring 356 x 280 mm, quarter-leather and maroon cloth binding, with royal coat of arms stamped in gilt on upper board; 2 volumes bound in one, viii, 110, 106; original blue paper wrappers bound in at end. The titlepage is undated, although the introduction is dated January 1867. The work comprises an historical account of the major grand cru châteaux of the Médoc, with a photograph accompanying each description. The photographs are mounted on light card within a red decorative border, with printed captions beneath, supplying the name of the chateau and its proprietor.See also 1784.a.34 part 1, for listing of the first part.
