Folio, modern (1997) brown buckram binding, measuring 490 x 400 mm, with 83 albumen prints, mounted one or two to a page, recto only; edges gilt. The lithographed titlepage incorporates two photographs (prints 1, 1a) in the design. Plates are numbered I-LXXV, but eight plates (those mounted two to a page) sharing the same plate number. The photographs are laid down within preprinted lithographic mounts, incorporating a design of arms and armour, with the exhibition name and plate number above the print, and print title and descriptive letterpress beneath. The photographer's credit beneath each print reads, 'Photographie de Charles Bayer à Varsovie N. 389 Faubourg de Cracovie.' The name is spelt 'Beyer' on the titlepage imprint.
