Folio, Half-leather and purple buckram volume (original binding), measuring 481 x 360 mm, stamped in gilt on front cover: 'Ordnance Survey of the Peninsula of Sinai. Part III. Photographs vol II. 1869.' The volume contains a printed title page (with mounted print), sheet with letterpress list of captions and 60 albumen prints mounted one to a page (recto only), with letterpress captions beneath each image. This volume continues the documentation of the work of the survey from the volume I (see Maps 29.d.28/1) and 'contains 60 selected photographs of the scenery, etc., of Mount Serbál and the surrounding country, and of Wady Mukatteb, and mining district of Magharah.'
