Soft covered cord bound volume measuring 355 x 288 mm, containing 27 platinum prints mounted one, two or three to a page, recto only, with letterpress captions beneath. The accompanying descriptive text provides a general description of the elephant kraal system, by which wild elephants are lured in from the jungle and trapped in enclosures, for taming and use as working animals. The majority of the photographs relate to the major kraal of 1910.
