Quarto, measuring 218 x 173 mm, original red cloth binding with decorative work and title, 'Sheffield and its neighbourhood illustrated,' stamped in gilt on upper board; pp [12], 132; a 4 page advertisement for the work, bound in at the end of the volume, announces that the volume would be published, 'On the 20th December 1864 ... elegantly printed and handsomely bound in cloth extra, price £1 1s 0d.' The work contains 16 albumen prints views of Sheffield and neighbourhood, mounted on light card within lithographed borders and titles.
