Quarter leather and brown buckram stab-sewn volume (British Museum binding, 1971), measuring 233 x 170 mm, containing 24 albumen print portraits accompanied by letterpress biographical notices. This volume was issued in eight monthly parts (numbered 25-32, in continuation of volume 3), between July 1865 and February 1866, each part priced at 2s. 6d. and containing three portraits.The part wrappers are bound into the work and volumes 3 and 4 bound together in a single volume. British Library holdings comprise volumes 1-6, bound in three volumes.
