Folio, half-leather binding with brown buckram boards, measuring 370 x 283 mm and containing 36 carbon print portraits, guard-mounted on stout green card, accompanied by a letterpress biographical memoir for each sitter. The card mounts are pre-printed with the photographer's credit in the lower left corner and most are also printed 'W. & S. Ltd. Permanent,' with the prints laid down within a ruled border. This volume comprises parts 25-36, issued monthly from January-December 1890. With part wrappers for nos. 25 and 36 bound in at end of volume.
