Folio, half-leather binding with brown buckram boards, measuring 370 x 283 mm and containing 36 carbon print portraits, guard-mounted on stout white card, accompanied by a letterpress biographical memoir for each sitter. The card mounts are pre-printed with the photographer's and publisher's credit. This volume comprises parts 37-48, issued monthly from January-December 1891. With part wrappers for nos. 37 and 48 bound in at end of volume.
