Signed on right of balustrade in Persian: ‘‘amal-i ghulam murtaza musavvir’ (the work of the painter Ghulam Murtaza); inscribed on sky: ‘shabih-i murshidzadah-i afaq mirza abul zafar wali ‘ahad bahadur’ (portrait of the descendant of the spiritual guide of the world Mirza Abu Zafar the Heir Apparent Bahadur).
Gouache with gold; gold and plain borders.

Abu Zafar Siraj al-Din Muhammad, facing right, kneels upon a red floral carpet with matching cushions, smoking a hookah. An attendant stands behind him with a ‘morchal.’
The age of the prince appears to be similar to that in Add.Or.342.
