Inscribed on border in Persian: ‘‘amal-i fath chand’ (the work of Fath Chand).
Gouache with gold; blind gold panel above; on an album leaf with borders of tinted paper decorated with gold sprinkling and arabesques.
119 by 74 mm; page 487 by 328 mm.
Reverse: two ‘baits’ from a ‘masnavi’ written in ‘nasta‘liq’ calligraphy by ‘Abd al-Rashid; 18th century.
A square seal bears the title A'zam al-Daula Bahadur and the date AH1186/AD1772-73.
A girl stands beneath a tree and a dark blue sky holding a white garland in each hand.
