The Jagannatha trio shown with human resemblances

The Jagannatha trio shown as in Add.Or.3702-3704 with human resemblances but with the problem of the wooden ‘arms’ still unresolved. Balabhadra wears a black-sleeved coat with flared skirt, Jagannatha a green-sleeved coat and similar skirt. Balabhadra has white face, hands and feet, Jagannatha black face and yellow feet and hands. Each has one arm at his side and the other on his chest. Wooden wing-like ‘arms’ sprout from behind their shoulders. The Sudarsana Cakra introduced in the same form as in Add.Or.3699-3701. Black border with yellow hatching.
By a citrakar of Puri, Puri district, Orissa, late-nineteenth century.
