Note: Purchased by W.G. Archer at Patna in 1948 from the family collection of Ishwari Prasad. Christopher Webb Smith was at Gaya in 1824 when he was visited by his friend Sir Charles D’Oyly who sketched his house (see D’Oyly’s sketchbook WD2060 f.74).
