Note: From the same set as the portrait of Asaf al-Daula Add.Or.476. Like that portrait, the present painting is probably a copy by a Lucknow artist of a lost portrait by Tilly Kettle. The inscription on the painting is probably inaccurate. Kettle would not have had access to a woman of rank and the painting more likely depicts a singing-woman.
