F3503 – Dead Man’s Penny. World War One plaque
Round bronze plaque, diameter 120 mm; one-sided design: female warrior full length and facing right, holding in her left hand a wreath of palm, in her right, a staff; she is accompanied by a roaring lion moving to the right.
A label in the field on the right reveals 'Specimen India Office MCMXIX'.
In the exergue a lion is pacing to the left.
Legend: 'He died for freedom and honour.'
