Pencil; 16.6 by 11.6 cm.
Deposited on permanent loan by Mr. J.R.F. Drake, great-great-nephew of Sir Stamford Raffles, 1970, together with an unrelated letter, Mss Eur D 742/32.
Note: Richard Ayton (1786-1823) writer and dramatist, accompanied William Daniell on part of his tour which resulted in the ‘Voyage round Great Britain’, 8 vols, London, 1814-1825. Ayton wrote the text for the first two volumes.
