f.7 Temple [Tomb]. Kaira. 1930.
Note: Kaira (now Kheda) about 20 miles south-east of Ahmadabad formerly part of the Cambay state, and rich in ancient buildings.
f.8 ‘Memorial Kaira. This tomb was erected by the officers & men of the 17th Light Dragoons. To the memory of 3 officers & 173 N.C.Os & men who died of fever while the Regiment was quarted at Ratanpur in 1813. Restored by the 17th (Duke of Cambridge’s Own) Lancers 1913.
