By a Tanjore artist c.1822.

Inscribed in ink with titles and notes.

Water-colour; size of picture 8.25 by 6.5 ins; size of page 11.75 by 9.5 ins.

Water marks of 1818, 1819 and 1820.

Purchased 12 December 1919.

Note: The set is marked by pale and sombre colouring - the sky being a pale blue and the ground light fawn with small green bosky trees on a low skyline. The colour of the dresses is duller than in earlier sets. Pale borders of lemon, pink, and mauve, a little gold added.
