By a Calcutta artist, probably from Murshidabad, c.1805.
Entitled: ‘Indian Drawings, Military and Domestic’; inscribed with titles.
Pencil and water-colour, some unfinished; 18.5 by 12 ins; Add.Or.1004 10 by 8 ins.
Purchased 19 October 1914.
Note: All except Add.Or.1004 are in similar style with black rule border. In some drawings the figures are shown against a landscape but in others the background is unfinished or omitted. Add.Or.1004 has a water-mark of 1804, is smaller in size and has been pasted into the volume.
