Each folio has four or five lines of Sanskrit text in nagari characters in the centre, with five to eight lines of commentary above and below separated by rules in gold, black and red; on either side of each page is a vertical band with a floral design in green, red and gold. The text covers the end of the 27th and beginning of the 28th ‘Adhyayas’ of ‘Skandha X’ of the ‘Bhagavata Purana.’
Gouache with gold; on European paper with watermarks.

Exhibited: British Empire Exhibition, Wembley 1924 (Heath (1925), nos.83 and 92).
