Two watercolour drawings of snakes. The first is inscribed, 'Drawn by Hurrish Chunder Khan. Student. Govt Sch: of Art, Calcutta. Specimen in Indian Museum'. The technique is purely European. It is not known when or by whom these drawings were sent to the Library, but the Calcutta Art School was founded in 1854 and the drawings may have been made soon after. It is possible that they were part of Cantor's collection.
