40 drawings of plants made by Chinese artists at Bencoolen, Sumatra, for Sir Stamford Raffles when he returned there after the sinking of 'The Fame' March 1824,

These drawings formed the second part of a large volume bearing a label inscribed: 'No. 1. Drawings of Birds and Plants done after the burning of the Fame. Bencoolen. March 1824.'

Nos.1-17, 19-26 appear to be by the same hand. Nos. 27-40, which have black-ruled borders, appear to be by another hand and resemble standard sets made for other British officers. No 18 is of a similar type but by yet another artist.
