Album of 17 drawings of the Mughal monuments of Agra , Sikandra and Fathpur Sikri.

By an Agra artist, 1825-30.

Water-colour: each folio 120 by 195 mm, the drawing being surrounded by an embossed frame. Album bound in red morocco, gold-tooled, rebacked. Paper and interleavings watermarked Ruse and Turner 1824 and Smith and Allnutt 1821, 1822 and 1824.

Contemporary inscriptions as noted below on facing pages.

Purchased 1983.

Note: While fairly correct architecturally, there are pronounced differences in the colour decoration from the larger and more accurate earlier sets.
