Four drawings of details of carvings on the sides of the post-Gupta period Dhamekh Stupa at Sarnath outside Benares, three illustrating three of the eight originally ornately decorated pointed-arch niches adorning the sides of the stupa, which would have originally housed images of the Jinas etc., the other a rectangular panel of decorative friezes.
By a Calcutta artist, c.1785.
Pen-and-ink and wash, within black ruled frames; various sizes.
