12 water-colours by students and staff of the Bombay School of Art, presented to Sir Frederick Sykes, Governor of Bombay 1928-33.
Originally contained in a blue portfolio bearing the initials of the Governor and with a pasted down list of the subjects, including three oil paintings from the same source. All have typed labels with title and artist’s name, followed by ‘Bombay School of Art’. A few have ‘H.E.’ or ‘For H.E.’ on the reverse.
Presented by Mr. B.H.C. Sykes, 1990, along with Photo 834/1-6, F860-2, WD4248, and additions to Mss Eur F150.
