(a) seven religious or mythological subjects (b) six scenes of current Calcutta life.

Water-colour and silver details with, in some cases, lithographed outlines; approximate sizes 430 by 280 mm.
Presented by the Christian Literature Society, London, December 1918, together with Add.Or.1860-66, 1874, 1879-1883, 1886-97, and 1905-08.
Note: A series comparable to Add.Or.891-907, 3333-3345, and characterised by suave precision, a delicate use of silver, rounded forms and a ‘sponged’ treatment of vegetation. Especially notable for containing (Add.Or.1869) a lithographed record of the artist’s name (partly obscured), Becaram Das Pande (see Add.Or.3803, and 1883).
